You are warmly invited to celebrate a very special artistic journey with me.
I am deeply honored and delighted to be part of “Unstitched” at the Asian Art Museum.

For this special exhibition, I will be creating a silk painting on a handwoven Banarasi silk saree, presented alongside works by renowned and emerging Indian artists including Asit Patnaik, Bharti Prajapati, Laxman Aelay, Shampa Sircar Das, Thota Vaikuntam, and others.
Unstitched celebrates handwoven silk saris transformed into narrative works of art, revealing how artistic expression fluidly moves between canvas and textile. The day also features a fashion show at 3:00 PM and an immersive, hands-on visual experience exploring the thousand-year history of the saree.
