Do you paint just for FUNNN?

I always wonder, when do you paint? What do you paint? and how often do you paint? Are you painting to beat the stress or simply because its what you love to do.

Well for me, I paint every single day though its sometimes with the kids, and sometimes with adults as I am teaching classes. But then spurts of the artist within me jumps out and I paint – say a card or a doodle on a random piece of paper that i see lying around.

No matter what, where or when – just draw, sketch, paint, doodle! Its all good for you!

Here is my artist within, jumping out today :

Day 1 of Art Camp – Feb 20, 2024

Ever made pompoms? Well we did:))

We had a great start to our camp today! We started exploring charcoal – vine charcoal, charcoal sticks and charcoal pencils to create a maple leaf and a midnight landscape with reverse drawing(we coated the paper with vine charcoal and then erased off the moon, hills, and the trees…you get the idea.

Then we moved to watercolors, we all learned how to make roses with watercolors – we made cards, book marks and just a random fancy papers.

And lastly we endulged with the yarn to make pom-poms to create bunnies and little characters. Really a cute project.

Overall- messy hands, fluff of the yarn everywhere, but happy smiling faces! 😃

Funky Robots

The journey started with all the junk that we could find – metal caps, buttons, nuts, bolts, wire, plastic bottle caps, wood pieces, tin cans, screws, camera roll holders, feathers and even pulls for window blinds!

Now the challenge was to create a “Robot” that could almost speak to you, give him a title and of course have fun creating it.

Look what these creative boys made with all this junk – meet Mr. Robot!
